В результате проливного дождя в Ташкенте на поверхность снова всплыла проблема неэффективности столичной дренажной системы.
Декабрьский дождь превратил многие ташкентские дороги в Тигр, Ефрат, Ганг, Янцзы и даже, скорее всего, в полный Хуанхэ, — пишет журналист Бахтиёр Насимов. На его фотографиях мост и участок третьего транспортного кольца, сданные в эксплуатацию в конце лета.
«Надо что-то с водостоками делать», — продолжает он и предлагает отказаться от помпезных концертов для элиты на Навруз и Мустакиллик, а сэкономленные миллионы и миллиарды сумов пустить на улучшение городских хозяйств: «Не то приедут гости на ШОС или конференцию исламских банков и не отплывут от аэропорта-то».

В воде оказался практически весь город — центральные массивы Ц-5 и Ц-6, Мирабадский, Мирзоулугбекский и Чиланзарский районы, на многих участках Ташкентской кольцевой дороги, около базаров «Куйлюк» и «Бек Барака».
«Море по колено» заставило пешеходов передвигаться на ощупь, чтобы не угодить в арык. Автомобили буквально плыли по дорогам, как катера. Дождь отразился и на работе светофоров, многие из них перестали работать. Так, например, огромная почти 30-минутная пробка собралась на так называемом перекрестке «Крестик» возле массива «40 лет победы».
В результате – ДТП и пробки на оживленных перекрестках. Многие водители влетали в ямы, скрытые водой, или просто не успевали затормозить на мокрой дороге, врезаясь в идущие перед ними машины, — передаёт корреспондент Sputnik-Узбекистан.
Такая картина в Ташкенте наблюдается каждый раз после обильных осадков. Самый крупный потоп случился в мае 2014 года — тогда вода заполнила не только арыки и тротуары, но и подземные переходы, — напоминают «Новости Узбекистана».
